The Science + Innovation Awards and Go STEAM USA Talent Search is calling for nominations from students who are really pushing the boundaries, breaking the molds and making the world better through their STEAM passion and participation. Students may also submit projects that apply innovative and creative uses of STEAM to help make their community and our world a better place. Winners from each state will be showcased on the Science + Innovation Awards event and broadcast in Los Angeles on August 18, 2018.
Nominators should provide a brief description of the student nominated and why they are a STEAM superstar or of a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) project and its wider impact that the nominee has completed. Nomination Form
Nominations are open from February 26 - May 25, 2018, at 11:59 PM EST
Open to students of ALL ages.
All nominee(s) must be residents of the United States, Washington, DC, the U.S. Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico.
All project based nominations must be COMPLETED by the time the application is submitted. If improvements are being made, this should be mentioned in the project description.
The project must be solely owned by the participant(s) and must not be the property of any outside organization. All participants must acknowledge that the project they submit for the nomination has used no other organizations' intellectual property in its development.
All information must be verifiable.
If nominating a minor (under the age of 18), the nominee must have obtained parent/guardian consent to be nominated and to include information provided on the application form.
** A legal guardian must sign the Release forms for minors. Failure to provide requested Releases and/or consents will result in disqualification of Nominee. These Release forms will be provided by the Producer following submission.
The selected award recipient(s) will be invited to take part in the Science + Innovation Awards on August 18, 2018, in Los Angeles, CA. Transportation to the award show will not be provided. Award recipients must make their own accommodations for attending the event.
Judging View Judges
All submission will be judged by and decided by a nationwide panel of experts in the areas of S.T.E.A.M. They will base their decision on the following:
- Project Based Nominations:
- Creativity of project
- Impact of project
- Integrations of S.T.E.A.M. subjects
- Individual Based Nominations:
- Nominee’s passion for STEAM and desire to make their world better.
- Nominee’s personal story of what they did to take what they learned to solve a problem or help others by their example or leadership.

Restrictions, Rights and Release
All participants acknowledge that their likeness, picture, voice, story, or project may be solely used in the marketing and promotion of the Science + Innovation Awards and the marketing and promotion of the Go STEAM USA Talent Search. Award nominees and recipients will continue to have sole ownership of the developed project.
Information collected through nominations for the Go STEAM USA! Talent Search will be used for the sole purpose of determining award recipients. Information will not be sold or shared with 3rd party organizations and will be used to solely communicate with nominees.
